The Shubunkin is a fancy goldfish that originally came from Japan. It is known as "Chuwenchin" in China.

The Shubunkin is an ideal fish for a beginner as it is hardy and very active. Shubunkin's have a single tail and are Calico red, white, blue, grey and black in color.
