The Volitans Lionfish is an extremely popular and beautiful marine aquarium fish due to its coloring and long feather like fins.

It is also known as the Common Lionfish, Butterfly Cod, Red Lionfish, Red Firefish and Turkeyfish. They have venomous spines used for defence but can cause headaches, vomiting and breathing problems to humans.
